Program Outcome

Program Outcomes (POs) and Course Outcomes (COs)

Nani Bhattacharya Smarak Mahavidyalaya (NBSM) adopts a systematic approach to syllabus distribution and completion, ensuring that departments follow well-structured plans for the teachinglearning process.

The assessment process covers multiple aspects, including monitoring student attendance and participation, conducting tutorial sessions, class tests, result analysis, and post-result mentoring to address areas of improvement. Faculty members use both scheduled and surprise tests, alongside assignments such as review reports, projects, and seminar presentations, to assess applied skills.

Students are informed about the benefits and relevance of each course to their future careers. Departments maintain regular contact with alumni to track their progress in higher education, employment, and other fields.

Throughout their studies, students’ course outcomes are measured through assignments evaluated by faculty members. Departments also maintain detailed records of student results to identify trends and develop strategies for academic improvement.

Student progress is continuously monitored through classroom discussions, micro-teaching sessions, tests, and mentor-mentee reports, allowing for personalized guidance.

To ensure quality, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) conducts regular academic audits, both internal and external. These audit findings are reviewed and shared with students and faculty for continuous improvement.

The institution collects feedback from students through department-wise structured questionnaires, which assess teaching quality, library facilities, and overall learning experiences. This confidential, offline feedback system is a valuable tool for gauging student satisfaction.

For evaluating Program Outcomes (POs) and Course Outcomes (COs), faculty members use continuous evaluation methods such as assignments, internal tests, viva-voce, surprise tests, open-book tests, discussions, quizzes, and projects.
