Why Study in Bengali?

Studying in Bengali, or any native language, can offer a range of benefits depending on one’s personal, educational, and cultural context. Here are some reasons why studying in Bengali might be valuable:

Bengali is the mother tongue of millions of people, especially in West Bengal, India, and Bangladesh. Studying in Bengali allows individuals to connect deeply with their cultural heritage, literature, and traditions.

Bengali has a rich literary tradition, with famous authors such as Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Jibanananda Das. Learning in Bengali allows one to access this literary wealth in its original form, enhancing understanding and appreciation.

For native Bengali speakers, studying in their own language often leads to better comprehension and academic performance, as they can grasp complex concepts more easily in their first language. By studying in Bengali, people help preserve the language and maintain its relevance in modern times, especially as languages evolve and face pressures from globalization.
