Vision
The 21st century has been an epoch where change has been the only constant of human life. The incessant spate of technological and ideological changes to which human life is regularly subjected necessitates a revision of our inherited notions pertaining to education. In a developing country like India, with its huge population, education can no longer be conceived in terms of enlightenment of the mind alone. It is therefore our vision to strive for the empowerment of society through education; to ensure that students irrespective of their existing inequities secure for themselves a level playing ground, which alone can ensure a society based on equality.
Mission
Localities adjoining the college are thoroughly cosmopolitan in so far as their demography is concerned. Apart from Bengali, Hindi, and Nepali that are predominantly spoken in these areas, students belonging to different tribal communities and ethnicities enrol themselves in the college in search of higher education. The mission of the college, therefore, is to merge these latent differences into a new unity and thereby enable students to discover their rightful place in the national continuum.
